..click to see large version.."A Child in the 3rd Stage of Sleep" is a painting that was inspired by some snapshots that I took of my daughter sleeping on the couch. She was 5 or so years old and kept changing positions and I thought:"what is she dreaming about." The painting came to mind in a completed form and all I had to do was transfer that image a color sketch and then to canvas. It was painted in 1974 has been exhibited in several exhibitions including a special Science Fiction show at Disneyland, Anaheim. The size of the original acrylic painting is 30x30 inches and it belongs to my daughter who is now 27 and a psychologist.
