Welcome to the world of LUMINARIUM. This program started as an experimental art project. The screen is constantly in motion, and you affect what happens by the keys that you press. There are millions of possibilities. You can choose a category to begin in: such as: Rectangles, Triangles, Kineko etc. - answer a few questions and then Luminarium kicks off and does its thing. Each of the F-KEYS does something depending on what is happening on the screen and there are 80 or so keys that cause different effects to happen. Many of them are set for random intervals so that you never know exactly when they will kick in. All of the instructions are in HELP.EXE on the Program Disk.

There are two different versions of Luminarium on the Program Disk. One is in low resolution with 256 colors and the other is in high resolution with 16 colors. Each has its own personality and is unique.

LUMINARIUM purposely has no manual and is designed to dive into. I recommend that you start off in (7)AUTO from the Main Menu and then start hitting keys to see what happens. It is like learning a musical instrument - you react and remember each time you hit a note. If you don't like what is happening on the screen hit the F8 key and something else will begin. The calculator keypad keys will change the direction of the action on the screen. You can choose complex or simple prompts from the menu.

Pressing the INS key takes a snapshot of a user-designated portion of the screen and then starts a sequence of manipulation of that image. There is a spiral manipulation mode that is very dramatic. You can clear the screen at any time by hitting F10 and return to the Main Menu at any time by hitting the ESC key.

LUMINARIUM has been used for animated projections during Rock N Roll concerts and for various entertainment projects. Licensing is available for these purposes.

Luminarium is not for sale at this time.
